S H A W N Y U :: Trip To Hong Kong (1)

처음 홍콩 도착해서 Martin의 친구인 Mark를 만나고 그들의 집인 Shatin(沙田)에 도착하여 가장 처음 먹은 음식은... 豬扒包!! 사실 마카오에서 유명한 음식인데 친구랑 급하게 끼니를 떼우기 위해 大快活(Fairwood)라는, 음... 홍콩식 체인점 식당에 들어가 먹게 되었다. 굳이 말하자면 우리나라 장터국수 같은 곳. 오후 시간이라 tea set이 많았는데, 거의 샌드위치 아니면 닭꼬치, 닭날개 그런 것들이었다.

Mark said he always takes pictures of the first meal he has whenever he goes abroad. I thought that was a good idea so I asked to take a picutre of me and the first meal I have together.

Martin and Mark's House was in the surberb area of Shatin(沙田). We took a minibus from Shatin New Town Plaza to get there. It was the village style house similar to the house that lived in Sheung Shui(上水) several years ago. Martin과 Mark의 집... 둘만의 집이 있다는게 부러웠다. 나는 언제나 그렇게 살아보나?

대만식당인 麵軒小歇에서 Martin과 Mark... 크 너무 고마워서 앞으로 어떻게 갚아야할지 참 난감~ ㅎㅎ 덕분에 돈은 정말 많이 아낄 수 있었다.

The first Yamcha in Hong Kong. After walking around Mongkok with Martin and Mark, we decided to have lunch at a Mongolian/Cantonese style restaurant near Langham Place. It had lots of lamb dumplings which I never tried before. I had a preconception about this lamb thing that it might have some weird smell but this one it didn't have any.

Delicious dishes!! 너무 오랜만에 먹는거라 혹시 소화가 안될까 걱정이 되기도 했지만 소화는 너무 잘되었다. 불과 묯시간 후에 또 먹고 싶어졌을 정도니 말이다~ (Click on the photo to see other images)

Langham Place안에 있는 동글동글하고 귀여운 조각. Martin과 Mark가 너무 귀엽다고 해서 가봤더니 있더라. 크리스마스 때라 산타 옷을 입고 있는데 그 전엔 중국 전통 복장을 입고 있었다고 한다.

친구 아버지 생일에 초대받아 가서 먹게된 Hot Pot 즉 火鍋. 요즘 우리나라에도 사천식이다 무슨식이다 해서 火鍋.가 많이 소개 되었는데, 홍콩식 Hot Pot이 최고다. 물고기껍질 튀긴 것도 들어가고...돼지고기다 돼지고기 미트볼이다, 소시지다, 생굴이다, 두부다 뭐다해서 정말 이것 저것 많이 들어가는데... 도저히 못벅겠던것이 하나있었으니 바로.... 돼지피! 돼지피를 우리나라 선지처럼 푸딩으로해서 국물에 집어넣는데, 음... 정말 못먹겠더라... Hot Pot at Martin's Father's birthday. I was so sorry that his health was not good since he had a cancer and was having chemo. He looked much older than the last time and comparing to his age. Anyway hope he can get recovered asap!
